Anyone have any experience with RCBS Cowboy Dies? Just wondered if their sizing die maybe didn't size the brass down as tight as my old dies do. Using on a .45-70.

I use RCBS cowboy dies in 45-70 and 38-55 both. I love them they do a better job than the dies by Hornaday did. My 45-70 is a Browning 1885 BPCR that only shoots BP loads and cast boolits. The 38-55 Winchester 1885 tends to shoot better with smokeless and cast boolits. For cast boolit loading I have found the Cowboy dies to be far superior.
Thanks, Moondawg.

The RCBS Cowboy Dies are top notch but the big difference is that they have two sizes of case mouth expander's so that the loading of cast bullets is easier. It's what they were designed to load and not like the standard dies which are for the J boolits.
