    K&M Match Cases

For those of you who appreciate well made items for your outdoor pursuits, take a look at the match cases (or, if you prefer, match safes) sold by K & M match cases.

You can't see it in the picture, but it features a built in compass as well.

I found their website while buying a few Christmas present knives at Ragnar's Ragweed Forge. They were able to fix me up with a brass and an aluminum one for last minute Christmas gifts.

I am planning to buy some of the smaller ones (without the compasses) to use as super deluxe reload tubes for muzzleloading.

DICLAIMER: I am nothing more and nothing less than a delighted customer. I am just happy to see someone pour their hearts and souls into what they do. I just wish they made major appliances and automobiles as well as match cases.

Well, I forgot to order one for myself, so I might as well get one with a compass for matches and a couple of the smaller ones for black powder reloads.

I checked out one of the larger ones last night, and the cavity easily accommodates a .58 minie ball...why I didn't just use the calipers to measure the inside diameter, I can't explain.

I do remember them, but until I haven't seen anything comparable to them in quality until these K&M ones came along.

These seem like a great deal for the price.

    plmitch,

I don't know the owners from Adam, but I will say that I am going to buy one of these for every outdoorsman in the family, plus it will be my "go to" Eagle Scout gift from now on.

The compass, by the way, is a SERIOUS compass, not a CrackerJack prize.

The "about us" portion of the website was a good read. I think these folks are people I'd like to support.
    "Is all this REALLY necessary?"
