I write this with teary eyes so forgive me.
Last night I received word from my Sister that my Nephew Todd Hamilton had been killed in a car accident in Wyoming yesterday. I do not know all the details yet but he was involved in a head-on collision with a semi while driving a pickup truck. He died instantly from the reports we have received so far. He leaves a wife and 2 beautiful daughters behind. He had just turned 31 last month.
Todd was a member here, his username was "Hamilton". Although he never posted, he did lurk and read when time permitted. I helped teach him to handload many years ago and we both enjoyed shooting together when we could get the chance. Life got busy for him and he wasn't able to handload or shoot much until recently. A year ago we spent some time working up loads for his new .270 Win. and remembering the look of extreme pleasure on his face when he saw how accurate his loads were compared to factory shells is something I will always remember. One of our members here, Recluse, was extremely generous and helpful by donating some .270 brass to the cause. Thank you JD, I am deeply indebted to you for those memories.
Goodbye Todd, your family and friends miss you and you leave a huge hole in our hearts.
