    Honing a Lyman H&I die ??

    Didn't want to hi-jack the post about honing out a Lee die, so here goes;

    Who has used the "Buck Shot" method of honing out a H&I die, .001-.002, and mainly, did you have problems with lube working past the now undersized "plunger rod" the rod that push's the bullet out of the H&I die ????

    Thank you

    I've used Buckshot's method four times, and it works. The correct lube temperature and the least amount of pressure will keep seepage to the very minimum, or none at all.

    Not long ago, I had Buckshot make a non-catalogued, .318" sizer -- he does not make catalogued sizes -- and would not hesitate to do so again. His craftsmanship is excellent, and his price is more than reasonable.
