Any advice on BP loads for 12ga

Need to make up some BP loads for the #12 ga. Quirky primitive weapons regs. on a piece of public land I want to hunt. Need info on best 2&3/4 hull to use, plastic is only thing available right now, and wad etc... Have plenty of BP in F, FF and FFF. Would it be worth it to get about a dozen brass hulls. Thanks, 10 ga.

    Greetings
I have made 3F BP loads down here using what I have available (very limited). Winchester hulls (the cheap field promo), Yellow Win. wad with the collapsing portion removed. Started with 85 grains which was enough to penetrate a comon corn can at 35 yards with #6. Enough to pop doves at 35 yards with #7 shot. For hunting a partrige type bird here I upped the charge to 90-95 grains 3F (all I can get) and #6 shot. Used enough shot to fill the modified shot cup to the proper lever where the shell would properly fold. Some loads required the upper petals to get trimmed down a bit. The hulls would stand up to 2 loadings. The 3rd loading would burn through. These were all shot in my Mossy 500 with a 28" modified barrel.
