Two defectives are coming tomorrow from 200mils away in the big city to check the serial numbers and safe storage; laid in heaps of coffee & donuts!

When we had a pistol buyback thay gave me heaps of money for my derringers & ladysmith; enough to buy a top of the line 50/90 Sharps

I call them that also. I got one set of wood in a trade, and I bought a set on ebay. The buttstock I got from a guy that saw an internet discussion similar to this one and emailed me looking to sell. I redid that buttstock and reshaped a #3 forend I had for the 45-70.

I still have the original wood for all 3 guns. My favorite is the 30-40, but I have to play with the 375 and the 223 some more.

    Whoops! I forgot.

I also have this little baby, it is still at the gunshop because I have no room in my (pretty large) gun safe. The guy who owns the gunshop has about 6x rifles that I have bought there an is nagging me to come and get them, so much so, he saw a big homemade gun cabinet and bought it for me, showed me the cheque stub and said I could have it for cost if I promised to come pick up the guns as well

I don't know about this baby, I can't see it being a shooter being silver plated and I can't see me keeping something I can't shoot.

I'm also looking at a Baikal 308W single shot rifle, such an ugherrry rifle, but it still attracts me. Sort of like the odd homely looking gal in the past, that you thought was not attractive maybe even plain ugly, but who managed to press your buttons anyway.

This is my #1 single shot. #1 because I use it the most out of all my rifles.

24" 243, just got a good load for it, 58gr Moly V-Max loaded with 43.5grs of Varget less than .5" off the bench.

32" 45-70, she likes everything doesnt matter what I feed it. Right now I am playing with 260gr bullets that I beagled the mold and am have pretty goood groups with it off hand. 10gr of Unique with a cotton wad, should be good for rabbits and plinkin in general.

Last is a 24" 50 caliber muzzleloader barrel, clover leafs off the bench at 50 yards with triple 7 powder and 245gr PowerBelts, loose clover leaf with my 360gr Mini Ball.

    Nice board and thread

    My best one is a Ruger #1 .375 H&H.

H&R Shikari .44 Mag, Topper handigun .357 Maximum (marked .357 Mag) and a slim & well finished topper in .30-30 (think they made this with two barrels, one a 20 ga., but don't have that bbl.)

Wesson & Harrington buffalo classic .45-70

Ruger #3's in .22 Hornet, .223, .375 Win, and .45-70. Had a .30-40, gave it to my son.

Remington military rolling blocks in .43 Spanish, 7mm Mauser.

A Schmidt-Rubin M1911 Cadet rifle, 7.5 mm Swiss. Has no magazine well.

    TC Contender with 10" .22LR, .30-30, 7mm TCU, .32 H&R Mag, and .357 Maximum bull bbls., a .25-35 10" octagon bbl., and 14" .35 Rem and .44 Mag bbls.

All shooting cast bullets, of course.

Can I be your other son? I only need the 22 hornet and the 223 to complete my #3 collection.

Big woo hoo on that one Charlie, cause I'm thinking about having mine rebored to 375 HH. Cost is $295, but I think it may be worth it. Now it's a 300 Win Mag.
