.22 RF Lube

Anyone got any idea what Remington, Winchester, etc., use for the lube on their .22 Rimfire rounds?

The lube seems to be stable at a wide variety of temperatures, doesn't flake off quickly and works fine.

My guess that there is a company or companies that are making and selling the lube to the ammo companies.

Anybody got any idea of what the lube formula is or how to obtain any for reloaders to use on their cast bullets?

I spoke with the chemist at Rooster Labs and he said they supply Rooster Jacket, a liquid, to companies for their 22 ammo. He would not specify which companies. Rooster Jacket is available in small quanities from places like Midway USA.

I'm taking a guess at it.
It's a couple different waxes in a liquefied form that evaporates and leaves a dry layer on the lead. There is also something added to make the wax stick to the lead better.
That kinda sounds like 45-45-10

I also think there is more paraffin wax than carnauba in the mix.
