1. 8 yds. I'll push out to 18 yds (the depth of the range I belong to) as I progress.
3. Rested on a rolled up towel on a bench
2. Loads (all sized to .357 and lubed with BAC)
1st target:
- Left column: 3.0 gr HP-38
- Center: 4.6 gr Power Pistol
- Right: 3.5 gr SR-4756
2d Target:
- Left: 4.0 gr SR-4756
- Right: 3.1 gr TiteGroup
3d Target:
- Left: 4.9 gr HP-38 (top 2), 4.6 gr TiteGroup (bottom 2)
- Center: 5.8 gr SR-7625
- Right: 6.8 gr Power Pistol (top 2), 7.2 gr AA #5 (bottom 2)
I will repeat some of these load, but changing the sizing to .358. I got some leading in the P238.
Those COLs worked great in both guns. This was the second firing for the 380. Those went poorly. I over-crimped and swaged the boolits. Also, I used Win brass trimmed to common length for the 380. (mm was with mixed, untrimmed brass. Fed #100 used in both 380 and 9mm loads. I'll probably load up some of the Power Pistol 380 loads using untrimmed mixed breass next go around, too. Alloy is 92-4-4, water dropped.
