    Question 165gr and 3031 in a Garand

    Anyone try this?????
I just loaded some to try tomorrow.
    .310di, 165gr Lee tumble lube bullet. 3031 at 33.0,34.0 and 35.0.
Lyman book shows 29.0 to 42.0 for a 169gr bullet so I should be safe.

Red face Tried the load today

In my Garand 33.0 and 34.0 had slight hang fire and would not lock back after the last shot.
    With 35.0 cycled good and shot 1" to 2" at 50yds. At 100yds about 5" to 6".
Recoil was soft. No leading at all.
Not as good as my load with H4895 and 180gr lee bullet.
    I'll try 35.5, 36.0, 36.5 and 37.0 next.
