This is my first post here so we will see how it goes. I bought a Star to replace my worn out leak-o-matic. I had adapted th hydraulic system from a convertible top car to make it do all the work for me. it did fine but I wanted to make my new Star all electric. I did some checking as to just how much power it would take and chose a 1/2 HP motor and a 20 to 1 reducer rated for 1 HP. I made the belt tensioner so it could be adjusted to what ever I needed to push the bullet through. Not wanting to spend any more than I had to I used simple wall switches to cycle the machine and to stop it at the top of the stroke. The wood cams that turn off and on the switch don't seem to be wearing out the switch very fast and the hole in the plywood wheel is holding up much better than I had expected. I have sized around 5000 bullets so far and the rubber band that make the switch that I bump with my knee a momentary switch is the first to go at 3000 or so cycles. i have sized everything from 9 MM yo 300 gr. .45s. It does them all with easy. I welcome any feedback and suggestions.
