Does anyone have an 8mm mold they want to sell or trade? I need one in the 175 to 200 gr. catagory that throws a 324 or 324 bullet. A two cav. is prefered but, could stand a single. thanks...

Have you looked at the standard Lee round nose gas check one, nominally 175 grains? Great shooting boolit. Cheap mould.

475/480, if Hawken54 doesn't want that mould, I'll take it. I'd been off the board for a while and was really sorry I missed that GB! That's a good bullet, and I've been casting 'em up one at a time. I really like six hole production!

No problem,I am going hunting this weekend ,When I get back Monday I will check and we can go from there.

I like 25gr of 4198 with this boolit. Velocity is 1750fps and it is very pleasant to shoot. Squirrel head shot are easily possible with this load
For a bit more velocity, I tried 40gr of 4350 and was seeing 1950fps. The first time I tried this load, I was using 2 coats of LLA and groups ran to 2" at 50yds with Lyman receiver sight. I attempted it again with Bullshop's #2 as the lube and saw the 3/4" groups with that combination. I did work up to 43gr with no signs of pressure, but groups began to open up.

I will give those loads a try. At least it give me a good starting point.
I have yet to get a lot of shooting done with the boolit. Need to cast 400-500 so I have something to work with.
