    44 full wad cutter

has a company ever made a full wad cutter for a 44? ive done searches and come up empty.

or is this a mold that is out of production and you have to look for on ebay or at gun shows.

I also ran a Group Buy through LEE for this 6-cavity light weight DEWC designed by 45 2.1.

I just saw a Lee 208 grn , 2 cavity full wad cutter sell today on this website. A discontinued mould.

Saeco also sells a kind of wad cutter mould, they call it a truncated cone, 200 gr. Midway carries it in 2, 3 and 4 cavity.

Currently, MiHec is offering a HB .44 wad cutter in a group buy, 4 cavity brass. I'm in for one of them.

I think Saeco still cataloges the #420, a 200gr FWC.

I have GLL's Group Buy mould and have been very satisfied with it. We have an indoor range with power limitations allowed and it makes it very easy to identify "range friendly" loads.

I shot the LEE 208gn WC in PPC one season. I could clearly see my hits from 50y without using my binoculars!

I found the two cavity in an auction, then some months later ran into a NIB six cavity mold for the same boolit. Ruined one of the cavities in an attempt of "leementing" (never doing that again). I use it quite a lot. It is very enjoyable to use in .44 Special with 6.0gn of Vihtavuori N340 in my S&W 629.

I have one of the 6 cavity Lee 208 ones, it works really well in my 44 spl. loaded over 4.5gr. Green Dot.

I picked up a 429398 here in S&S a while ago. Mine is the hollowbase version. Casts at .434 and has been accurate in every revolver I have tried them in. My 629 has a throating issue I need to resolve yet but these still shoot real nice. Load them backwards and they do a good job of exploding milk jugs but accuracy suffers.

That looks very similar to a Lee GB from awhile back. I've got it but haven't used it yet.

i had the lee 208 WC and now currently have the saeco # 944 a 200 gr WC . i used them for bowling pin matches in a 44 mag , accuracy is excellent to 25 yards but drops off at 50 yards .
If you would like to try some of the # 944 s ? i could send you some ! I could fit up to 500 in a small flat rate box . $7.00 a hundred + $5.20 shipping.

    Please leave a PM

nes4ever69, Belding & Mull once produced a FWC, .44cal. (in fact, I was casting with mine earlier today), but it is a rara avis. Gunshows and eBay (where I got mine) are your best bets unless you order that gorgeous brass custom mold shown in earlier posts.

ditto on the LEE 208 grain WC, I have one in a single cavity mould & it casts beautiful bullets. Wish I could get it in an iron mould? Guess I'll have to try the "bullplate" lube thing..........

If anyone wants to part with one of the light weight GB moulds GLL mentioned please let me know. I have an old Lyman listed at 190 grains and I'm in on the latest brass GB from mihec. Yeah I like 44 wadcutters.
