I have to nominate any Japanese military pistol. Those things were butt-ugly right out of the box.

Hey! I was told the work was done by a master engraver and paid extra for it! It truly is a work of art. Hard to show the detail but one should note the coverage includes most of the screw heads, and of course the barrel bands and both front and rear sights.

(I was told it was put away bloody after successful elk hunt) Before I became it's caretaker.

"Tis pretty awful isn't it? A shame to treat a good rifle that way.

Come on............i've seen stuff at the local gunshops (and one in Las Vegas that had the local indian populations trade ins) that make that stuff look good. You just can't believe what carpet tacks do to a firearm.

    "Sporterized Mk V"

An old Pasedena Arms Mk V that I used for years to hunt Hogs and Sheep. Couldn't get a magazine for it so I modified it with a box magazine from a Mdl. 100 and held it in place with fiberglass and Microbed. Used to buy cheap cordite ammo from the gun shows, since it has a 2 groove barrel corrosion wasn't a big concern.

Accuracy was minute of pig and most shots were at under 20yds.

Old enough to know better, young enough to do it anyway!

How about a "pimped out" airgun?

Does a Daisy 747 "Pimped out" count? Not mine

I have got a friend with an ugly gun. The front sight is a nail, tapped on with electrical tape.
    Thanks

Yeah I figured it out. It would not be ALASKA……... unless it was the absolutely the toughest it could be and worst possible case scenario!

    No1 MkIII

In transition. Looks much better now with final shaping, sanding and paint. I use this as my offhand "practice" rifle for rifle silhouette. Cast is far more economical to shoot that jacketed.

Can't find the picture at the moment. I will post it when found.
