The King Nitro shotgun was distributed by the Shapleigh Hardware Co., according to a list in Gun Digest #16. No other data in the notation. Some of the more downscale American companies, like Stevens or Hopkins and Allen, and some of the outfits in Belgium, would make runs of shotguns for hardware outfits, and stamp them with whatever name the company wanted.
