    Chicken.

Last time I cross threaded one and finally got Lyman to respond to my order I ended up with half dozen nuts, half a dozen rubber orings of every kind, and a dozen of those blasted links that bust sometimes when I get overzealous on big bore stuff......I think it cost all of $20 but it took me six weeks to finally GET IT. Meanwhile my sizer was down but I fixed that...........with another used sizer....

Everyone needs to cross thread at least one thing I life. Only then can you truly understand the value of hand starting a threaded device.
I bought a 1968 BSA Lightning in !974 that looked real good. Later discovered spark plug hole and upper fork tube nut cross threaded. Learned to strip engine (to heli-coil head) and how much a new fork tube cost. As well as how hard it is to get that spring back in there. Learned not to buy used bikes if possible.

    450 sizers w/o tools

The last Lyman 450 I found at a small local shop with the dark gray body lacked those "necessary" tools. I took it home, bolied that awful Lyman black goo out of it and refilled it with the typical NRA 50/50 alox lube and gave it a short sizing/lubing trial. Am a bit reluctant to list it for sale as newer folks here tend to view tools like this being incomplete and not worth it.

The previous posts may help dispel some of those concerns...
