I was late to the group buy but happily was able to get one anyway. It got here to the states in 4 days and looks great. I was wondering if these need a gas check and what c.o.l people are doing on these. Thanks. Can't wait till the lead gets here so I can start casting.

Loaded up some of the hp's and decided to shoot them. Only shot them out of the H&R rifle. Here are the numbers that I got.

    H110 26gr.

    1)1258 2)1250 3)1242 4)1234 5)1255 6)1242

Average 1242 Standard deviation 9.045 Extreme spread 23.62

Shot them at the 50 yard target. If you don't count the first shot (wind must have been blowing ) I have 5 of them in a ~2" group (3 of them touching) with open site.

I am very impressed with how these big boolits have performed so far.

cranked of a few today out of the handi with a Burris FastFire 2. 50 yd 3 shot groups standing, off the top of a heavy gate post were in the 3" range with conical HP and solid. I could only squeeze about 5 before I new to stop. Using 296 but didnt bring the chrono. 3 of us shot 17 rds total I believe. 3 out of the smith 500. Must load more. Not sure if I will shoot it from a bench more than 1-2 times without a sled or sand bag.

just fill the case to the base of the seated bullet, that's your max charge. looking through my data i used 8gr for the HP from the 700gr mold.
