    Finally Have a Lever Action

After almost 40 years (Jeez I feel old...) of shooting, I finally got my first lever action - a Marlin 30AS in .30-30 Winchester. Not real thrilled with the color of the birch stock, but very pleased with the quality otherwise.

Now, to work up some loads with the RCBS 180 gr. FN...

I think you'll find the leverguns can be addictive.
My very old marlin 'requires' gas checked cast bullets to be accurate,so I'd say don't load to many of anything without test runs first.
    enjoy!!

This bullet shoots great in a Krag carbine and an old H&R Topper single-shot so I'm looking forward to trying it in the Marlin.

Welcome to a lifelong addition for me, love all sorts of guns, but always had a soft spot for finger guns.

I have a Glenfield 30-30 with an old (but mint) Weaver 4x mocro trac scope on lay bye. Cain't wait to get it home.
