If you’re using a Ruger Blackhawk you can hot rod them quite a bit! Since you don’t state what gun you’re using I wouldn’t use more than 8.5 grains of Unique with any projectile!

In the 3rd photo the top weight with the clip is zinc.

I’d go with BP and the heaviest bullet you have. I load 70 grains of Swiss 1 1/2 with a Hoch 550 grain Creedmoor bullet in my 4 Sharps rifles. Excellent accuracy at all ranges to 1000 yards.

Disassemble it and run a cleaning patch saturated with alcohol through it.

I use Brown & Sharpe and Mitutoyo.

I have 3 Pedersoli 1874’s in various configurations…….also a C. Sharps and 2 Shilohs. I shoot the C. Sharps the most but the Pedersolis can keep up with the 2 MT made ones as far as accuracy goes....

8.5 grains of Unique with Elmer’s 454424 works great in my 25-5’s.
