700 action and a Douglas barrel. 358 is my go to bear rifle

I just got back from Shell Rock, what a good group of people.

With the short barrel you would be better off with the 25-06, cheaper, less noise, and about the same vel. If the rifle came with a 26" barrel it would be different.

I have a 700ADL with a Dougles 358 barrel on. I bought it used used for $650 and it shoots great. Sadly the rifle does not get used much any more. good luck to you.
