In 1911s, you can mitigate primer flow somewhat (maybe altogether) with an oversized firing pin combined with heavier firing pin spring. Oversized firing pins are offered by Wilson and EGW probably...
Not Bob, but here's a pic of FA M97 & Ruger Single Six. Not a very good pict for comparison purposes.

I've got one of those. Neat revolvers, but a bit bulky for CC although I've carried it that way a time or two.

You might want to consider the S&W M69. It's a 5 shot L Frame 44 Mag (basically an updated 696). It comes in both 2.75" and 4.25" versions. I have a pair and a spare of both and have shot them...
There's a lot of "45 Super" data out there on the net and a lot of it is well up into 460 Rowland pressure territory. I used a chronograph and limited max loads to velocities shown on Buffalo Bore's...
Here are some data points for .357 Magnum.
Not the same bullet but dimensions given so you can adjust load accordingly (more bullet in case less powder).
Usual caveat - APPROACH WITH CAUTION.

If you want it and can afford it, buy it. You never pay too much, just too soon and who knows what tomorrow will bring. ENJOY!
I'm in my mid 70s and really like my short barreled gun.
Way to many variables. Different guns, different environmental conditions, different components, how you curl your tongue, etc.

All that said, here are some actual chronograph results that might...
