well that's interesting, i thought it was common place to use 40's for it. i guess the biggest thing is not enough neck tension allowing for easier setback.

i don't lube before sizing as i size as cast powder coated. but if i did, i like using lee's lube mixed with 20 parts or more of 99% isopropyl alcohol

pure lead is generally worth more then alloyed stuff like wheel weights (clip on). i really wish he was next to me because i don't shoot black powder and all the lead i find seems to be pure outside...

any chance you can post pictures of your powder coated boolits and loaded rounds?

What I do is put the container on my carpet and slide it back and forth. I would imagine the shaggier the better.

I also shoot max loads in my 6" 586 with not leading using powder coated and sized to 0.358"

if your after long range accuracy, i would stick with 1 powder and not mix any to get a different colour. leave that stuff to pistol rounds which shouldn't be effected by any lumpiness.

i'm going to suggest that the powder is a mix of red and white and that the white stick better then the red, hence the splotchyness.

the cause for mine was to much powder from a newb reloader.

both barrels would spin in the same direction.
