I have 3 dies(224"/6 mm/.308") made by Mr Larry Blackmon . The bullets I made with then, using J4 jackets shoot better in my rifle than those made by Berger and Sierra.

What wil happen if the wire lead have a mix of tin? Last lead roll I received dont conform well in the core forming die, the color is more "silvery" and do not oxidize as usual using white...

I have the swaging dies from Blackmon in 224", 243" and 308".

Not yet used the 243" and 308", but the 224" bullets made with J4 jackets group better than Sierra 52gn MK and Barts in my 223...

Help me understand...The boat tail shape is formed in the core seating die by the die himself or the base punch have the boat tail shape? I believe the point forming die need the punch...

Diablo, enjoy your Blackmon dies. they are superb. Using J4 jackets, my bullets do very smalll groups. As good or better than SMK and some custon bullets

Are the tools in the correct position? Seens that the punch holder have the wrong tool. This tool must be used in the press ram. Or may be i am wrong...

Why is the reason for the bleed hole block?

I made 1000 224 bullets using pure lead with Blackmom dies with any issues. And sure they are as good as my Barts and Sierra...

I have a Blackmon 224 die set, and with J4 jackets I do manage to get 1/4 inches groups at 100yrds with Borden custon rifle.

A 243 and 308 set on the way....

Seems that my cores have a tight fit, as they dont fall out if I invert then. I put the handle to the mechanical point( dont know the right word) but the press is the one supplied by Mr Blackmon,...

In your experience, the trapped air could cause accuracy problems, due to some imbalance ?

I received a 224 swaging dies from Blackmon , and I am using the J4 jackets.

My problem is that a feel different resistence in the core...
