Years ago hunting at the Guthrie lease. Man it was freezing and windy but the hogs were out that night. Steve stopped the truck and I shot a small one around a hundred pounds. We got out and threw it...

to buy or trade for. I can use one for a Remington 870.

True and some of the oddest looking parasites. A pale almost see through form of lice almost as big around as a dime.

One thing I have learned about pigs and their possible table fare is that the ones that have a mild old school antifreeze smell are probably good to eat. The ones that actually stink not so much....

Most of the big ones I killed north of Guthrie Tx had some kind of cartilage shield. A few were very impressive. In that area it seemed a majority of the hogs were very big 200 pounds and over. I...

Boy I have. I have skinned boars that the hide looked like a saddle the shield was so thick. Not like fat at all. That said I felt it only helped initiate expansion.

Forgot to add, still sighted in and accurate. Thanks for the new data I didn't know they had updated. Looks like I4227 works pretty good.

I have had LEE molds cast a bit undersize for my Marlin bores. Powder coating might help a bit.

My guess would be around 480 grains. Never cast a bullet in it.

Cool all the way around. That seat looks easier to pack than a folding chair and I use an old Alice pack like yours though I still have the frame in it.

Well I don't like to hunt it in the rain which seems to be when I get to hunt the most. I have a 350 Legend AR that I get out for the messy weather and I seem to see more deer then. Both rifles are...

Put the old rifle up last year after hunting season. Figured the next day or so might be good to hunt her.

I have owned four 35 Remingtons. The roughest and oldest was a 58 model. It had a rough barrel, had been sanded down and refinished with cold blue so it had an odd patina. The stock when I got it was...

Wow! I never had to put heavier springs in any Marlin to get it to go off. I would look into either the shoulders have been pushed back with your size die, excessive headspace or take a look at my...

Yep so was the 1886. Pretty heavy rifles though. Still If I were to run onto a reasonably priced 1886 I might bite.

Well the design featuring a large chamber near the rim helps. So far other than being a little picky about overall length with SWC designs everything feeds in my Rossi also.

Getting cool enough to do some casting. Actually shot up most of what I cast last year.

Looked into my 45 mold collection and found a almost new Keith style 260 grain Arsenal mold. Never cast any bullets from it myself.

I have a JC Higgins Marlin in 35 Reminton myself. Great shooter and doesn't have microgroove rifling. I have to say it is no flyweight scoped with a 2-7x Leupold. Seems the 35's are a bit heavier...

While looking at that mold I spotted this one. Hmmmmm

Geez I really don't need another mold but I like that one. They removed your video for some reason.

No, haven't tried any SWC Keith type bullets. I got this one to work pretty good but overall length is picky and nothing worked until I moved the front of the magazine lips back.
