I glued a 3" pic rail forward of the rear sight on my TC Hawken and mounted a red dot on it. It works well.

No doubt it's gonna be a meat plow. The first batch I poured last year, I loaded in 30-30 at about 1550fps. You can hear them smack the target backer at 100yds. I just love to hear that feed back.

It's caused by the corrosives they dump on the road during the winter. Frequent car washes go a long way to slow it down.
