I saw on another forum that someone that had a 44 and 350 legend was ablento swap barrels on frames and close each with the same clearance using feeler gauges. They did say they didn't shoot them...

So maybe the thorough cleaning of the mold is more important than heat cycling? It seems like there are different opinions of the heat cycling and you guys have the experiences to prove your stance...
