140929Shot black powder in her today. 15.5 goex 3f. Chrono'd it too. Averages 854 fps with the Lyman 85RN. Now she's all cleaned up.

I've also read there is no conversion and it varies between different cartridges. ..some cartridges they will be almost the same and others differ by a lot.

You do NEED a 45/70 if you don't have one yet. Just loaded up some roundball loads, 3 140 grain .457 lead balls on top of bullseye. 25 yards all 3 group in about 2 inches about an inch above aim....
