I finally got to play some more with this gun. I love it. And some of the stuff I cast with wheel weights and some unknown % alloy have done just fine. The stuff that was powder coated did great....

Should be able to rotate every other ingot to make the lean even, I would think.

I think those imperial bars are what they used to refresh Linotype. High antinomy and tin. I can't seem to find the info I found on it long ago when I found a couple bars of it.

It looks like to me, that the tank is much larger than our pcp tanks. I would assume/guess that would give more shots.

Some of the smaller pcp rifles will give multi shots. Like the Seneca Ealgle...

From what I'm reading, it's not that the barrel is soft and the lead will damage it. It's that the antinomy will cause leading. Then trying to scrub it like a regular powder burner could damage it.

I'm sure that's where I'll end up. But I'm also going to experiment with harder stuff. And some powder coated ones as well.

I'm using a mix of old wheel weights, a little range scrap and linotype. I can't wait for warmer weather to get out and test some rounds.

I just put it on the arbor press and squished a flat spot. Then took it to the sizer and ran it through again to see if it felt different, it did not.

Haha! Very true. But does it make a difference for 9mm like this? Assuming they fly the same as the as cast round.

I have the arbor press set so the handle will stop at the same spot to hopefully be consistent with every nose flatten. I don't think I want all of my rounds to be like that, though I was curious if...

And the worst that'll happen is they don't shoot well and I never do it again lol

I was goofing off with my little arbor press and made some flat points out of round points. I'm going to test to see how they shoot eventually, but thought I would ask if anyone has tried things like...

I tested mine by first accidentally melting a few boolits. Now I have it low enough to not melt them and it works great even though I have never put a thermometer in it.
