I stand corrected.
Chaszel got right back to my e-mails.
Very fast and good reply!
Extremely fast shipping, adapter looks great. Fits well.
I emailed twice with requests did they receive order.
It is the weekend, I'm sure I'm ok.
Just ordered a 7 1/2" . 38 Special rifled adapter for .410
shotgun. First time buy from Chaszel. I own Short Lane ones
and their quality is great. From Chaszel site the quality appears equal.
I...

I'm sure wanting this one. For lots of reasons, can't decide what caliber.

I really like the sights too, none of that...
I use my Lee Hand Press exclusively, don't need another.
Loaded probably 2 or 3 thousand rounds through mine, rifle and pistol without any issues.
But then I load only a couple hundred max at a...
Forum: Cast Boolits
Haha. I started casting on the kitchen stove when I was 15.
Then worked a whole summer casting for a commercial caster. Jaro Bullets.
Got paid end of summer w\ a nice Colt 1911.
Those were the...

Are there any gun shows still running?
States are different, but I sure could use me
a gun show.
The first ones to open will surely be very crowded
and a success for all.
How about on private...

Following advice on this thread I recently removed a stuck nipple from a Ruger Old Army. Previous owner did not clean the revolver well. The Ruger nipples had a hex head, and it was rounded badly....

Sounds like a great rifle.
But me, I'd put on a replacement original peep. Easy to do. The non-adjusting one. Then do what's necessary to the front sight to zero it.
"Almost". I like a .357 and it is fine, but if I had to pick one caliber for revolver it'd be a big bore.
I've been wanting to experiment with cast round ball mouse fart loads in .380.....say two grains of Bullseye or equivalent.
This will be fired from a Short Lane 5" rifled adapter out of my 20 gauge....
So, anybody know when Lee began making the red dippers, and went from red to yellow?
I've a Lee Loader in the old cardboard box with a red dipper, instructions in box dated 1966.
What about 1963?

Awesome. I have a pre-'68 on a pawnshop layaway, pick it up next week. Overpaid I think at $325 total, but it looks great overall. Besides, that model was the first new in the store firearm I bought...

A co-worker, and I have absolutely no reason to disbelieve him, told me he killed a Texas Whitetail (probably under 100 pounds) with a German-made .177 air rifle. I don't recall, a Diana or similar,...
Why not a slug on one side, and buck on the other?
You have versatility, why not use it?
Sort of like modified and full for a shot shooter. First for up close, second for a bit more away....
Forum: Vintage Ammo
The trouble with rocket ammo is that at close range, where you need the most energy, the projectile has yet to assume it's maximum velocity.
Also the 'vents' if not machined precisely will result in...

I always liked the classic and simple RWS 24.
Are they still made? I don't see any new ones at the big dealers.
I'd like one in .22, used ones OK if good.
Any leads?
Thanks!

Try a 12 with a short and cheap 20 gage adapter. You then can shoot both gages.
Tests show very little loss of effectiveness shooting the 20 out of a 12.

True. And far more expensive. A rifled adapter from Short Lane set up correctly (try a round or two of blue painters tape around the end to provide a snug fit in shotgun bore and position it...

Elmer Keith had lots to say about round ball in BP revolvers. Thought very highly of their stopping power. He grew up around CW veterans, and shot quite a bit of BP himself. He said the round ball...
