Spin is the bullet killer. I've taken my .224s well past 4100 fps but that was in a 1-12" twist, that's only 246k rpm. Failure occurs at about 320k rpm with my .224s and 22LR jackets.

Hickory, I've had my 22LR jacketed bullets (40 grainer) past 4200 fps, but that was in a 1-12" twist. That's only 252K rpm. Somewhere near 320K rpm seems to be the limit for my 22LR jacketed bullets....

Thank you. The bullets in my previous comment are .224". Boat tail length is also adjustable. Those pictured are at near max length. I do treat my PF die punch for the boat tails with kid gloves.

I have a boat tail die from BT Sniper. It is a boat tail core seat die accompanied with a VERY sharp edged point form punch. I have to admit, I've only run about a hundred bullets through the point...

I haven't been out testing in quite a while. Sub one inch is the norm out of my Savage 223 BTCSS. This is one of my best groups. Nothing fancy, just 5 quick shots during load testing....

Only used the WH on the quick change plate for derimming 22 cals. Seems quite strong to me, no flex in the mount.

3 1/4" X 6". Just a FYI, the WH will not fit on a standard base plate from InLine Fab but it will fit on a quick change plate.

CC, if you use a small amount of lube your flashing will decrease.

Dedicated pot. I use my PID with thermocouple mounted directly against the pot wall for temp control.

If you're referring to post #13, I believe the OP (ANEAT) is just demonstrating the power of his press by reforming a cast boolit's nose configuration. It is a fine looking press.

If I'm correct, the answer is in the quote "ALREADY CAST/LUBED". Lube the boolit before swaging and you won't loose the lube...
