I like and shoot "2 band" eg 1841 rifle or 1863 "Zouave" - 33"+/- barrels; and 3 band 1855, 1861, 1863 "Springfield" Rifle muskets - 40"+/- barrels. I'm not a fan of the Musketoon - 24"...

Praises to Him who tends to us all....and thank you for reminding this shooter to mind all safty procedures every time.

Some thoughts from here:
Especially when casting large bullets, adding 1-2% tin to your pure lead can really help the fill out in many moulds.
In general - 575213 does well in the majority...
