Update; the problem was the upper O-ring land was overstamped with the size designation. This caused it to egg-shaped, and the retaining nut would not fit. I wanted to use it this weekend, and...

Thanks Sam, That's what I'll need to do. I just wanted to warn anyone that purchased one recently. I spent 15-20 minutes trying to get the retaining nut back on, before I took it back out and...

I just purchased a Lyman H&I die, that is 0.005 oversize. The two upper lands where the O-ring sits is the problem, it will not fit inside the retaining nut. I just purchased this from Miday last...
My favorite too. 12 grains of Red dot and a 158 pistol J-word duplicates the ballistics of a 357 mag for small deer inside 75 yards. 38 grains of Alliant R-7 and a 200 grain J-word duplicates 35...

I tried to purchase a Master caster 3 years ago, was given the same song and dance about the lack of heating elements to continue production. I offered to give my e-mail address and phone number, ...

Could I suggest considering the 358 Winchester instead? Much better bullet selection cast or J-words.

My favorite 12 gauge 3 dram 1 1/8 Oz. trap powder. Also did well in medium 45 ACP, and lighter 357 and 44 mag.

One book is 70 years old, and could be intended for rifles only. I'd look for newer, more current data.

Any of the slower ball powders in 12 and 10 gauge hunting loads used in sub-freezing weather. I agree Longshot works well in 20 and 28 gauge, but larger gauges, NO.

I have have a NOE 25 cal 120 grain aluminum mold. It was my first experience with an aluminum mold under 50 cal, and my first experience with a mold smaller than 30 cal. I use 94-3-3 aloy, cast...

I would not use any load data from the older speer books, look at the shotshell data using Red dot in the #8 manual. There's alot more unsafe loads in that book,
I see two potential safety issues here. Magtech lists thier brass shells for black powder only, and Hodgon warns NOT to compress Trial boss loads, so shotshell loading is out.

Yes SR 4756 and SR 4759 are completely different powders
Forum: Factory & Surplus Powder
Rattlesnake, yes SR 4756 will work well in medium power loads in .357, 9mm and 44 mag.

It's a great powder for 20 gauge taget loads too. Just avoid using data from the 1970s Speer manuals, they had some unsafe loads for SR4756 and Herco.
Thanks, the MEC bar measures 1.00 by 1.00. So it is possible, but I won't try to tackle it. I have a lathe and a big drill press, but no milling machine, and I understand aluminum has the tendency...
Planning to modify a MEC charge bar to take larger PW bushings.
