It also depends on how much wheat flour is in the recipe. I prefer little to no wheat flour and more corn meal, a little course is ok with me.

Chevy Malibu fwd. I was advised to replace both when one went because the other probably would go soon.
Some have relieved the top edge of the blocks to aid venting. I believe this has been recommended for Al molds, I do not know if this has been tried with iron molds.

The barrel on my Girsan was ramped, but the first thing I did was smooth the ramp with emery paper, before I even shot it. There were horizontal machining marks that just didn't look good to me.
