In order of purchase:
Lee Turret, Hornady LnL progressive, Forster Co-Ax, Dillon Super 1050 w/ Ammobot

Small charges of unique (large flakes) might not be metering accurately, which would explain your huge velocity spreads. I'd recommend something with finer granule size such as CFE Pistol or BE-86....

It kind of irks me that the LAR Grizzly never took off and yet the *** known as the Desert Eagle persists to this day.

+/-.003 is pretty normal if you're using mixed headstamp brass.

I would guess that the mold is too hot when you cut the sprues.

I can't really imagine any particular large rifle primer being unsuitable for this purpose. Besides, it's not like you have much of a choice these days!

I've actually heard of people making bullets out of zinc before. I have no idea how they perform though.

For something like 338 Lapua where the brass is extremely expensive and performance expectations are high, I would separate them.

I've loaded and fired over a thousand rounds of .45 Super in regular .45acp brass so I wouldn't worry about +P. YMMV of course. Always be careful and work up, etc etc.

I'm always shocked to see Gunbroker prices. Primers are rare, but they still sell for a lot less on certain gun forums on a regular basis.
I suppose .357 would make sense since it's one of the few rounds that provides handgun ballistics out of a handgun and rifle-like ballistics out of a rifle. The obvious downside being that it's...

I started with a Lee turret and then moved on to a Hornady progressive, and now I use a Dillon 1050. I can't imagine ever bothering with a single stage except for extreme precision applications.

Pistol calibers that start with a "4" are more effective than those that don't.

Why not just buy Starline .45 Super brass?

Perhaps look into getting shorter pins or small chips.

I always wet tumble before any brass touches my machines.

1.760-.020 is acceptable per SAAMI. Just load 'em.

A 75 or 77gr bullet on top of 24.0-24.5gr of Varget works great for .223.
