I fly cut it in my vertical mill. Hitting my target weight for the cast bullet was a little bit of math and a whole lot of luck. Maybe pure luck.

Your bullets look good they should work fine. Too bad there's not an easier way to remove wax!
This is what I'm using. I cut down a Lee C501-440-RF mold that gives me a powder coated...

Not sure why you couldn't resize a commercial jacketed bullet, the lead is usually pretty soft. (Someone else may have better info on this)
As far as sizing lube, use a few drops of Dawn dish soap...

I resize after PC'ing regardless of the caliber. Don't know if it's always needed.

I powder coat after adding checks. If I have a slightly loose check the PC will glue it on. I've peeled checks off after baking and the PC seeps into any small spaces between the check and lead...

It looks like a very small amount in the final rinse water is all that would be needed. I haven't looked up anything on toxicity yet.
Edit: Low health hazard to humans, toxic to plants....

I left the garage and sprayed the mold in the backyard, the propellant/vehicle/solvent stinks. I run my molds around 400 to 435F and Teflon decomposes at 662F. Considering how long it it continues to...

I use to rattle can wrinkle paint Harley parts for years. Yes, heavy coat, let it flash off good and then bake it in a low temp. oven (180-200F) for a couple of hours if you can with plenty of...

I tried Liquid Wrench Dry Lube today for the first time on a Lee 6 cavity mold. I'm sold, no more mystery lubes, bee's wax or 2-cycle oil anywhere near my molds. This stuff worked in the cavities, on...

I only load 200 to 300 rounds a week in three calibers, seriously a lot less than I know many of you do.
After two years of running I still haven't figured out what to fiddle with, tinker and tweak...

Congratulations bdicki, both on the great looking PC'd chunks of lead and retiring. Hope you enjoy powder coating.
I quit my job and semi-retired a couple of weeks ago... spending way too much...

I powder coat after adding checks. I find the PC wicks between the aluminum and lead a tiny bit gluing the check on.

+1
I probably get a dozen uses out of one sheet.

Old trick mentioned many times here...
I rub powdered graphite into the surfaces of my funnels, aluminum pans for scales and anything on my powder measures that touch powder.
Pretty much gets rid...

I've had a LM for about a year and load 45 acp, 7.62x39 and .50ae with it. When I first got it I read the info at Loadmaster Videos. I probably spent 3 days of spare time (8 hours total?) setting it...

Sorry to hear about your range, they obviously don't get it. I'm amazed at the lack of consistency and understanding going from range to range.

Ebner, do you worry about pc'ing the base of the bullet? I see on the DE forum people theorize vaporized lead from the base is the cause of clogged gas ports.

I'm finding the transparent colors look the best over lead.

Okay, I've gotta admit those are pretty cool. Nice work.

If I stand out of the crowd I hope it's because of my shooting skills... that I work constantly on. Though I would love to see some red, white and blue bullets!

Stilly: Two reasons for me. The novelty of colors wore off within the first couple of months of pc'ing. I prefer not to stand out of the crowd when I go shooting.

My powder coating 45acp and 7.62x39 has been a success for almost 2 years now. I'm considering trying to PC 50ae for a Desert Eagle. I know Ebnerglocken has been doing it, not sure about others. Does...

This is as close as I get. Prismatic 2 parts Orange Tangelo 1 part Psycho Yellow mixed and shot from a HF gun. Looks pretty good in person but could use a slight touch of red.
