Forum: Smokeless Paper Patching
Thanks Badger, have you pp any boolits with lube grooves? I’m looking at a couple different moulds from accurate molds was wondering if I just bought a mold that threw a .378 boolit and sized it down...
Forum: Smokeless Paper Patching
I have recently traded into a winchester model 70 375H&H, I have been wanting to try paper patching for awhile and this seems like a good place to start. I have read through some of the stickies and...
Forum: Leverguns
I have enjoyed reading all of this from what appears to be a very knowledgeable 45-70 crowd with a lot of good to excellent suggestions already.
Currently the only rifle I have that is chambered in...

Haven’t had much chance to work with it lately hopefully this week sometime.

Thank you both for your offers, Idaho I may take you up on yours, my friend does not have that mold anymore. You are right about them being beautiful rifles this one is no exception I just wish it...

Thanks to all who have replied, sorry it has been a few days, pretty busy around here. Sounds like I need to find a rcbs 32-98-swc I have a friend that I know used to have one hopefully he still...

I recently dug my Browning 53 chambered in 32-20 out of the back of the safe where it landed in frustration some time ago, after looking at my notes I had thoroughly put this thing through the ringer...
Forum: Case Forming / Re-forming
My apologies, I was in a hurry this morning and after reading my post I realized it didn’t make a whole lot of sense. The Lee collet neck die will only neck size either the fireformed case or a...

I have a 243 ackley i ise a lee collet neck sizer die set and bought a redding body die when they were on sale at midway cheapest way out. Just get the regular lee 243 collet die set it only sizes...
Thank you, Sir.
I have an old Ideal 3118 that works good crimped under the front driving band in the top lube groove and kept below 1200 fps. Loaded that way it just touches the lands in front of...
I recently purchased a browning model 53 chambered in 32-20, I found this bullet made by mp-molds, on his website says to be a 115gr. Hp or 120gr. Solid it is the 314-640 design. But I could not find...

Is #3 44 mag/spl. Conversion kit for a dillon square deal press? If so is it just the dies or the toolhead. Thank you.
Looks almost like a roll crimp I dont know much about reloading 9’s but i do know you need a taper crimp die you may inspect his die set and see if it is a roll crimp or taper crimp.
On another note...

I am looking for a factory stock for a tikka T3x ctr with the bottom metal will buy or trade if I have something you are interested in.
Why! He say’s. Why not?
My number 1 reason would be I don’t have to chase brass!
#2 I don’t have to worry about swapping springs or beating my 1911 to death with 454424’s
#3 Call me old...

Tikka T1x, most consistently accurate 22’s I have ever had. I just traded a cz 457 American that was not as accurate as I’d like for another Tikka. That makes 3 on the place now all will do what you...

I traded a ruger “precision” 22 for a Tikka T1x about a year ago and haven’t looked back since. Most 22’s I have rather they be auto’s, bolts, leverguns, or pumps, all have their “favorite” ammo. The...

I wouldn’t be caught dead in a pair of crocs but a man that shoots a six shooter as good as Sixshot does can wear anything he pleases as far as I’m concerned! Nice shootin’ Dick.
I’ll second Thumb cockers suggestion and add: you can roll crimp that little boolit in the top loob groove and generally get even better accuracy, have tested this with power pistol, titegroup,...
I would pick the Ruger,I have a regular 5” fixed sight sr1911 and although not the best shooter out of my 45 acp lineup its not bad and it is very reliable. I would like to try out that target model....
Excellent information Outpost, I always enjoy reading your posts.
I am also a fan of a good 1911 loaded with 200 grain boolits , there is usually one within reach of me at all times. I like the...

I think I’ll hold out for the 32 version with the 5 1/2” barrel and either a Super or bisley grip frame. They could call it the “super wrangler”, “top hand”, “almost vaquero” or whatever they want....
