I have a '92 Winchester trapper takedown in 357 mag. One of my favorites.

Have one. Won't feed 357 rounds over 1.46 in length. Shoots 38sp OK. Isn't very smooth action wise. Save your money and look for a marlin or a Winchester.

+1 to what badguybuster said. Mine was and still is a ***.

+1 to what ddixie884 said. Especially the last sentence.

I paid $1643 OTD for mine. The guys in the Reno gun library thought it was unfired, but I fixed that as soon as I could.

I want to take you with me the next time I buy some lottery tickets.

FWIW, my 357 Rossi NEVER worked out of the box. Two trips to the Rossi repair shop in Florida, a 3 to 4 month turn a round, and it still won't work. It hides in the closet now.
My 357 Henry was...

If you want one that works out of the box, buy the Henry. If there is a problem with it, it will be fixed fast.
Can't say that about the Rossi.

I have one on my 1886 browning carbine. I really like it. Easy to put on or take off.

You think Buds is slow? Try Hinterland Outfitters. Took them 6 days to ship one to me. Then 4 days for UPS. They blamed on the Christmas rush. I didn't know they moved Christmas to January.

I've had one for about 10 years. One of the most accurate 22's I have ever bought.

That sounds good. I'll go with it.

Anyone know what OBFMCB means? It was in a Gun broker add.

Bazoo,
Have a look at the Brass Stacker. They don't look too shabby IMHO. I'm thinking about putting one on my Browning 1886.

I store mine in the lee round die box. I use a black marker to put the caliber on the side of the box.

My '99 in 300 Savage seem to like Hornaday brass, Winchester's large rifle primers , hornaday's 150 grain SST bullets and 40.8 grains of H4895. Gives me right at a 2 inch 3 shot group at 200 yards.

I'd wanted a '99 for many years. Finally bought one off Gun Broker last year. A 1954 EG in 300 savage. Probably paid too much, but it is in really good condition. I put a leupold VX3i 1.5 - 5 scope...

New to me 1954 Savage model 99 in 300 savage. Put a Leupold vx-3i 1.5 to 5 scope on her. Still working up a accurate load for the old girl. Right now 40.8 of H4895 and a hornaday SST 150 grainer are...

I get the same marks on 300 savage brass. I also use a Lee FCD. Anyone think this will affect the life of the brass.

Just acquired a savage model 99 in 300 savage. 1954 vintage. Got bases, rings and a scope on the way. Have shot her with the open sights. Got a fair group at 100 yards. Hope to have her up and...

I acquired one in 357 mag a while back. Winchester says it was made in 2010, but they don't know how many were made. I was hoping someone here might have some idea of the number made.

I own two Miroku/Winchester '92's. 357 and 44/40. Both have the rebounding hammer and tang mounted safety. Both have been flawless. Have fired every round I've put through them. Like Greg S said you...

Been using the lyman gen6 for about a year.
Really accurate and doesn't take up a lot of space on the bench.

Got a winchester '92 trapper takedown yesterday. Been looking for one for about 2 years. Paid too much, but I am really happy with it.
Hope to take it to the range soon. Would post pictures but...
