Best thing to do is to smack a primer with a hammer on concrete...if you get an equal amount of failures with the hammer, they are bad..however...if they go bang its your gun tinkery or loading...

You are more likely to get burned deep frying freedom fries.

Tumble your brass before you try and load it to get all the rocks out.
If you break a pin find out what head stamp it is to make sure its not berdan primed.
remove those before loading again or.......

Yea but what shell holder would you use...I'm guessing you would have to get one made that would not set off the cartridge should you jamb one up...sounds dangerous.

I mean with in 5 to 10 fps of universals published data. Just use starting loads and work up to where you want to be...this is great powder.

High velocity hard cast in the area of 158 grn will do great. With a bear you want penetration not expansion. and you can load 158's with those powders.

There is like 6 or 7 thousand of these....I won't live long enough to hand crimp them.
