I would like to hear about your favorite powder(s) for .220 Swift using 52 to 55 gr jacketed bullets. Plan to get out my late 1970'S Ruger 77 Varmint.
Ferguson TO35,
Don't know what kind of .380 pistol he has. Would guess mid-to-high end.
Thanks guys for such good advice. You continue to spoil me with your thoughtful comments.
I am selling a friend some range pick-up Winchester .380 Auto brass. He needs additional .380 and I am offering him his choice of S&B(9mm Br. C.), Aguila, GFL, PMC, or PPU. He wants me to advise him...
Outpost75,
Thank you for your prompt and expert advice. I will proceed with the 2.6 gr.
I know this is the place for CB cartridge discussion, but I could not find a more proper place. I want to use up the remainder of my IMR PB by loading .380 Auto cartridges with some PB behind a...

Thanks to Krag1902 and Kylongrifle I have some boolits coming to help me figure it out. Also, thanks to 50target I have in hand a new Starline 2.125" case which looks like it could allow for...

If anyone can spare one of their Starline .38-55 2.125" brass cases ( the neck wall is supposed to be ~.0072"), I can pay you for it. This could help me if the Winchester cases just will not work.
Forum: Leverguns
I have not yet bought the Starline brass, but have fireformed to my chamber a once-fired and partially sized Winchester case which has neck walls that are .009 - .010. The neck ID of the fire formed...

Finally tried to burn some of the yellow powder from the recess in the base of the bullets from my second photo. It does not burn at all and did not seem to be affected at all by the flame. James,...

Der Geb,
Both the "1 cannelure" and the "2 cannelure" bullets stick to a magnet. Could this mean that both types are armor piercing? Have not yet tried to burn the yellow powder.
Forum: Military Rifles
I will scrape out a little of the yellow powder and see if it will burn.

James and Der Geb,
If the tips were ever painted, it looks like all the paint is gone. Only a slight discoloration of the jacket can be seen where the paint should have been. I have had some...
