I agree with Ron. It would at least be worth a try.
Thanks for the "heads up" and best of luck getting your name cleared of this mess,

Very cool. You had to be a real man back in the days of the matchlock. Holding that long and accurately while you wait for the final ignition as a small explosion goes off a couple of inches from...
Very well said Bedbugbilly, I wish I could have put it that well myself.

I'm not sure what the problem is with the Wranglers. The two I have always go "bang" when they should. Granted, they are "entry level" guns and built to a price point and I don't expect them to...

I saw a couple pictures of other "Hatfield" pistols out on the 'net so it could be that actions were taken off rifles and put on pistols but it seems more likely that there were some made.

I'm not sure what "normal" would be on that particular pistol but in the past single action revolvers with fixed sights would leave their front sights a little high (and shoot low) so the end user...

I found a post on another message board that talked about the Pedersoli "Hatfield" rifles...
That might give a hint as to when and how those pistols came to be.

I have rehabilitated some very fine threads that haven't been hardened by using a razor blade to chase the threads. If the threads aren't too mashed up and you have a LOT of patience it can be done....

I remember reading on another forum that on the sharp spire points the lead needs to be of a certain hardness. If it isn't the points can suffer deformation upon firing and play heck with accuracy....

Here's a way to get some info of the missing sight. Using the Internet "Way Back" machine I accessed the last version of the website that was saved. Here is the link -...

Hornetguy, are you sure you sent your question to the correct email address? You stated that you "responded" to a marketing email that they had sent. Chances are that email is only used for...

I'll give that an amen!
Deprime at the range and drop them in a jug with water and a bit of Windex non-ammonia. Shake a bit when I get home and only tumble if I'm in a "sparkly" mood.

Well, the "no snag" is definitely worth it for my wife's carry as she keeps it in her purse along with everything, less the kitchen sink? Just a guess as I don't dare try to find anything in there....
Robert,
FYI - That "flat top" was most likely the SIG 365 SAS I love the sight on that gun and the "no snag" design for CCW. I picked one up for my wife (CCW) for Christmas and am considering...

I've had good luck using Kreen (made by Kroil) for carbon removal https://www.kroil.com/products/kreen-all-in-one-gas-oil-treatment/ I learned about it on another shooting forum.

If you want to speed up the process a bit you can order your rifle from http://www.shiloh-ballard.com/ He charges a fee for the service but says he can get you your rifle (depending on what you...

I thought of that as well. The only problem might be if the tip of screw comes in hard contact with the primer. Actually, that might clean it out right quick but lead to some other problems... ;)

No direct experience doing it but I would think that at the velocities reached you are going to have to deal with a lot of leading of the barrel and bullets coming apart from the centripetal forces. ...

I would have turned it back before modifying it, now you should probably eat it. I think that their explanation is pretty lame as well,

I wouldn't blame Henry for that damage could have easily happened in shipping (getting repense from Henry will be a lot easier than getting if from FedEx though). That long box can be "bent" or...
