Bullet fit, bullet fit and of course...bullet fit! The Lee is a 457 bullet not great in any of my guns(causing inaccuracy and leading. I need 458up to .460 for my individual guns. You may want...

My Sausage gravy is a little bit different. I use a pound of sausage AND a half pound of bacon. I fry the bacon and crumple it up in the gravy when it is mostly done. MMMM

Sorry for the delay but I also use 9-10 grains of Unique in my 38-55s no filler required.
Forum: Single Shot Guns
You do you but, Unique is a go to for my 38-55s but I only have 4 of them. The deer I have shot with Unique didnt stop to ask me what the load was, they just died.

WELL DONE SIR! I have also used the Heimlich maneuver successfully, on a co worker( thought I was gonna break her in half at the time) but it worked.

Forum: Cast Boolits
I have a lyman 45 still bolted to my bench but it may well rust in place. I have not seen a velocity decrease at all, in most of my boolits it has increased the velocity for the same charge. I also...

Following this post intently. Small hijack here, does anyone know of a place that still makes 16 gauge insert for a rifle caliber,,,really want a 38-55.

One other option I have not seen mentioned is use the rim end of an old cartridge case as a way to remove stubborn rust patches.
PM me I have data from Western powder co when they made 5744. I just dont know how to post it. I have several molds for the 50-110 also. I would be happy to send a couple of each to try. Let me...

Yes you gotta shoot his barrels in. I have several hundred rounds down the last barrel he made for me. Yesterday I was doing ladder test with 270 grain SAA bullets with HS-6 and the largest group at...

I have been to Bobs many times and he does have a boatload of barrels to do, however he is no slacker. He is out in the min shop about 5 am Monday thru sat. He has done a few complete barrels for...
Forum: Lead and Lead Alloys
I actually cut my WW with pure lead for hunting bullets at 50-50 but straight WW will work. I do add tin for good fill out but what do I know, I only cast for 15-20 leverguns.

I truly suggest you go over to Marlinowners and ask there as there is a former employee on that sight and he helped me identy my prototype 336. Lots of Marlin knowledge there.
LIGHT TO MEDIUM-7.5 to 8.0 unique with a Keith style bullet. Be sure to check your throats as my SBH had throats much smaller than my barrel and that AIN"T ever gonna help accuracy.
Lee will make a custom 377 push thru die....however I am a HUGE fan of the NOE system once you have the die body changing sizes is about $10.
Forum: Case Forming / Re-forming
Lee makes a trim setup for the 33. It's the lock and spud type. The whole setup woud be about $30 but the next caliber would be $10-15 as you have the cutter and lock ring holder. I wanted one...

EBAY thats where I found a couple 1889 parts. Took a while to find them but then they were cheap too.

Toss up between my Henry 001 big loop with a suppressor or my 10-22 with an aftermarket barrel, target scope and a suppressor.

I am at the end of a 50-90 conversion on an old roller. I did have to groove the top of the hammer to get enough clearance for the rim of the cartridge. We also had to relieve the side of the...

I am also following this thread with interest. Before I had seen the thread I had purchased a 16 gauge double at a local gun show for a similar idea using slugs....but at 50 yards I couldn't keep...
