Picked up an original 1886 that worked perfect before loading it, it won't lift the round up, the carrier will lift when no round is in it but only comes up about half way when lifting a round....

A friend of mine has an old Spencer and a Sharps and Hankins that use this cartridge.
The spencer has a center fire conversion the Sharps does not but looks like it could be converted easy.
