A friend of mine will routinely hit a gallon jug (off hand) at 100 yards with his Trade Gun. IIRC, he used the tang screw slot as his rear sight.

I also have the Army RB pistol with the long chamber. I just trimmed a couple of 50-70 brass cases to pistol specs, mostly for display.

Thanks for posting your journey with the Indian-made gun. I bought a blunderbuss on eBay (yes, that long ago) for $345.00; I drilled the vent and hardened the frizzen. I also made a sling, swivel and...

I ruined 3 nipple wrenches trying to remove nipples from an original '58 Remington after the nipples had soaked in Kroil a couple of days. I made a wrench from a 1/4" drive deep socket, slotted it so...

I have built a few scale model cannons and mortars also. I got my inspiration and dimensions (scaled drawings) from the book "Round Ball and Rammers".

I have cut up over 500 pounds of lead water pipe. The thing that worked the fastest, easiest, cheapest was the limb lopper. It cut anything that would fit in the shear effortlessly.

I made my own a few years ago when I replaced hinges on our cupboard doors
Several years ago I bought a nice Rolling Block rifle that had been rechambered. The seller had a few rounds of loaded ammo and the custom made dies. The dies "walked" away from his table at a gun...

I have the Lyman set of 12 ga. tools, no box though. A friend sent me photos of the instructions so I am good to go.

Mine is still in the original 41 caliber. I think the brass is a tad longer than the 41 Swiss Vetterli, and I will shoot cast in it soon.

I had a portable sawmill come to me a couple of times to saw walnut logs. He was reasonable in price, although he wouldn't do quarter-sawing, said it took too much time and wasted wood. I had some...
I shot my Red Rider BB gun with the lever down.....once!

Yes, you can PC the round balls, but you still need black powder lube to keep powder fouling soft.
If the price is indeed "really good" I would be all over it. Pedersoli makes great percussion revolvers (among other things) and guns are getting scarce and high priced. If you don't want it, PM me...
I also have some WW XM257 hulls for #4 buckshot. Both the LE and the 257 hulls are red, one military and the other LE according to what I found in searching.
I have had these 12 ga. hulls for a while now and would like some info. They are Win., marked CAW Enforcement only, 00B. I would like to reload them using #3 buckshot. What would they be equivalent...

I can't speak from experience, but subs don't usually work well as a priming powder, or so I have heard. IF....it does ignite, there is usually a signicant delay.

I received the brass cases yesterday; thank you very much!

I would like 1 WRA and 1 of the line throwing blanks please. PM coming.
Forum: Rimfire Area
Thank you, mine is a Savage-Stevens. Interesting to know they can come with problems.

A friend recently gave me a Stevens 87A in decent shape. Since I wasn't familiar with the rifle, I did some searches, mainly to find out about operating the rifle. It is sometimes called the...

Here is my 2 cents worth, please correct me if I have something wrong. I put my 20# tank upside down on my deck, in the sun. This increases pressure, right? I take my 1# tank from the freezer, attach...

Wire clothes hangers are your friend. I keep 8-10 in the shop. Short pieces (squared off) can be used for punches, pins, depriming pins, etc. if too large, they can be chucked in a drill or drill...

Yes, I changed the nipple out shortly after getting my Smith due to the CCI Re-enactor caps not being totally reliable. I later found a few tins of older 4-wing caps I had forgotten about.
