FWIW,
I quit making .30 boolits from 9mm cases. Too much work for mediocre results.

Hi,
About 2 years ago I imported a few buckets of J4 jackets from www.reloadinginternational.com.
They will apply for an US export permit but do require an import permit from the reciever to do...

I've made .355's from 9mm cases, .223 cases, .30m1 cases and .32 Long cases. However, for a proper length 9mmP bullet all must be trimmed. (I'm using CH4D dies)
The best case in my opinion would...

Hi gents,
Over 2 years ago I ordered some dies and other stuff from D. Corbin (paid for the whole order). I recieved everything pretty fast except a lead wire extruder. I was informed it was on...

The Sierra .30 165 HPBT Gameking has a tip like that. They shoot quite well.

I've made excellent 9mm/.355 bullets from the bottom portion of .223 cases. Reducing a .223 case to a .30 jacket will be a challenge with that thick base.

Hi,
Waiting for dies is starting to get frustrating. Not sure if it is any different when you reside in the States but I have a lead wire extruder and pinch trimmer dies on order with D. Corbin...

Hi Chris,
The holes drilled through the Dillon crimp die insert is tapered. I cut the die insert down (about halfway) untill I reached the desired reducing value (.353/.354). Next I polished it...

Hi Chris,
This is what I do:
- Anneal 9mm cases
- Trim 9mm cases to desired length
- Reduce the cases to .354 by pushing them through a modified Dillon 9mm crimp die
( I can do this in 1...

Hi,
With the 22lr jackets I do not notice any difference between 55, 56 or 57 grainers mixed and sorted by weight. They all land in the same group. This is at 100 meters.
This is in...

Hi,
I reduce 9mm cases to .354 to make .355 boolits out of them. Downside is that the cases/jackets need to be trimmed to be able to make suitable bulletweights for the 9mmP.

Hi,
No problems with .224-22lr jacket bullets (Corbin dies) in my 1/7 Colt 16 inch barrel (chromelined). I tend to keep the throttle back a little at 2900 fps.
Over the years I have come to...

For my 55-60 grainers (22LR jacket) I use moderate loads of Vithavuori N135 and Hodgdon H335. I Use 4 AR15 uppers (10, 16 and 20 inch barrels), a Steyr AUG and a SIG 550. Varget is a bit on the slow...

Is there any harm in using the non-anhydrous Lanolin type?

Hi Gents,
Just FWIW, I use Dillon case lube for all my swaging operations (Corbin and CH4D dies). It contains Lanolin and work as desired for me. Imperial wax was a bit too thick.

I have to trim off a bit of the 22 Mag cases as well. Otherwise they will not even fit in my Corbin (S) dies......
Forum: Swaging
I also have Stinger cases lying around but am reluctant to use them due to the plating on them.
The heavier 224's I rather make from 22mag cases.
Forum: Swaging
Mini mags longer? Don't you mean Stingers?

Seems to me the primer is mangled by the pressure as there is a hollow space in front of it. Some primers loose their grip as a result and seperate from the bases after the bullets leave the barrel.

Hi MIBULLETS,
Yes, I know that. I was surprised that it was even possible to push them through.

Hi,
I've de-rimmed some 22WMR cases using Corbins 22LR de-rimmer die and punch. It was not as easy as using 22LR brass. More heads popped off and it took more effort pushing them through the die...

Hi Ammosmith,
I've had no problems in any of my 4 AR barrels. How deep do you seat the bullets?

I use a homemade punch of +/- .308 inch thick with a a rounded and tapered end to match the inside profile of a 9mm case. I size to .354 using a slightly modified Dillon 9mm tapercrimp die. The...
