Just FWIW, I use Dillon case lube for all my swaging operations (Corbin and CH4D dies). It contains Lanolin and work as desired for me. Imperial wax was a bit too thick.

I have to trim off a bit of the 22 Mag cases as well. Otherwise they will not even fit in my Corbin (S) dies......

I also have Stinger cases lying around but am reluctant to use them due to the plating on them.

The heavier 224's I rather make from 22mag cases.

Mini mags longer? Don't you mean Stingers?

Seems to me the primer is mangled by the pressure as there is a hollow space in front of it. Some primers loose their grip as a result and seperate from the bases after the bullets leave the barrel.
