I use this combination a lot with my RRB #5....no problems, no issues....the action on my #5 is tight, no slop and locks up tight

I had one built on a 98 action with a green mountain barrel. I enjoyed shoot and hunting with it but after many years I sold it on. It was accurate with the 200 gr RN bullet and shot cast very well.

I don't have a 35 Whelen anymore but when I it had a 1:14 twist (Green mountain barrel) and it shot a variety of J's and cast successfully, except for spire point J's (180gr) which didn't shoot well....

if you want to check your alternator start the car let it warm up then take a simple volt meter and connect the leads to the battery posts. You should read 14.5 +- 0.5 volts for a 12 volt battery.
