I heard back in the day they only cleaned their bores when they couldn't ram the ball all the way home. Works great for me. All fun no work, to a point.

Lizard Litter is great and lasts a long time.
I don't think they will send your gun back still needing something. The price sounds ok to me. Not every shade tree gunsmith can work on a revolver.
