I have been partial sizing straight wall cartridges for some 10-11 years now, I always get better accuracy. Could be that I make my own custom sized expander plugs with an "M" step helping too.

In case any one is interested, I am using a 285gr boolit from an Accurate mold, gas checked. I cast a few hundred of these a couple of months ago, sized them to .452 and lubed with 2500. Loaded over...

Well folks, that is pretty much where I was hoping to be. I might add a little more lead and see what results I get.
Replies much appreciated!

Since lead wheel weights seem to have become extinct in my part of the world, and I have a fair supply of lino and pure lead,
I have started casting with 2p lead to 1p linotype. It seems to cast...

With a 45-70, penetration on WTD is not likely to be a problem, with just about any load.
I like to use 45gr Rx7 under a RCBS 300gr fpgc, 1650 in my Henry steel, haven't chronoed the 1886 yet.

Wilson FP aperture sight will do what you need and your receiver should already be drilled and tapped for them.

This is true, my Brass Big Boy was slick right out of the box, 400 rnds later it is very slick.
These Henry's are a lot stronger than folks think and are quite capable and accurate rifles.
I don't recommend running any firearm to its absolute limits as an everyday practice, but for the amount...
Exactly, just work up your load as you would any other, might even help a little if using longer/heavier bullets.
I have been using #68's for target and carry for close to 40 years.
My notes aren't with me right now, but I do remember they chrono
at 955 from my Govt. model. A powerful and accurate load that is...
When I brought my Henry .45 Colt home the first things I did after cleaning was to slug the bore and check ROT, came out .4515 and 1:16. I thought I had a fortunate mistake.
It shoots an Accurate...

Hornady gummi tip ammo already has shorter cases, might not have to trim as much...

Which 310 bullet are you using? My '92 Short Rifle seems to be 1:20, Think I'll check it again...
I "short size" my cases also, although my chamber doesn't seem to be much oversize, I haven't...

I just don't think I could hardly stand it if I was Forced to shoot light, jacketed bullets...

I can't help the OP with his accuracy problem, but I would like to comment on the twist rate subject.
My Henry BB in .45 Colt has a twist rate of 1:16, and my Winchester/Miroku '92 in .45 Colt has...
I can't help with AA5 and 90gr, but for future consideration, 3.1 Titegroup under 95gr LRN gives me 955fps out of a Kimber Micro Carry.
Shoots remarkably well for such a little pistol with an...
The very first powder that I ever loaded hand gun ammo with was IMR4227, worked up to 25gr under a 240gr bullet in 44 mag.
I used mag primers then and I still do today when I load with that powder....
Lyman 452664 is an outstanding boolit for std. to med. loads in my Henry and Winchester '92.
It also has a generous lube groove, and SPG works well for me.

I can see the head of the pin exactly aligned with the hole with the plug removed, with the action completely closed.
Moving the bolt with the lever does not show any other pin. It also aligns...
