Guess that kinda answers the question! I've been using printer paper, 20 #, as that gets the boolet up to where it needs to be.
Thanks, Doug

I went to the local printer/stationer, and he will cut the paper in almost any width I like with his guillotine shear, can do about 50 in a stack with a cardboard stiffener on both sides, all for $5,...

OK, just acquired a Belgian Cape in 12 Ga. x 450 BPE. Large bore dia! So, I need at a minimum .463 dia. I can PP a .458 sized down to .450 (which I have on the shelf) and then go to .464", and it...

Uh-- I did ring the chamber in a 9x72 using Dacron! I will stay away from it. Likely I didn't get enough in- maybe has to be packed pretty tight? Kinda spooky stuff in my book.

Sorry, off elsewhere. Well, the first go-round was a failure! Patterns. Seems the jacket didn't strip, I think. I was using Rooster Jacket as a patch lube, and to toughen the wrap, which I think it...

Greener 12 bore takedown shotgun, with 12 bore rifle, 303, 50-90, and 22 barrels. But I guess that really doesn't fit the parameters?

Thanks all! Yeah- .318 groove dia. I think I will give this a try- anyone have that 311299 mould, maybe I could bum a few for a trial?

Yep, same paper I have used, though I may have to go thinner to get the size I want. Do I understand you are shooting these in double guns? No trouble with the unfired boolet backing out due to...

OK, thanks! I am pp-ing for a 577-450, going up from 450 to 468, with no trouble, but that's of course black, and a whole lot less velocity. I have some 2,3, and 4 thou paper, so can work with it...

I have a double rifle in 8x57jr- the old .318 bore. Those bullets are tough to find so thought I would try PP. Either cast or the others. Question is, I need 200 gr at 2100 fps to regulate. Is this...
Just got a Load All II in 20 bore to dedicate to slug loads, and have a question. Lee uses a collar to size the brass. My once fired hulls- Remington- have quite a bit of expansion to the head, and...
AARR! For the second time the forend lug broke loose! First try was soft soldered, then silver- guess we'll have to try dovetail and silver! Doesn't seem like there is that much whop to it but??...
On re-reading this thread, I have a question about the advise on no smokeless in the Magtech brass. Sure don't need surprises! So- what's the deal? I have been loading these as said between 6-7...
Success! OK, load is according to Wright in Blue Dot, 3 TPSI. Primer pockets deepened with a Lyman pp uniforming cutter, using Mag Rifle primers. NO pressure signs, 2" at 50- as good as I can see the...
Oh yeah, a neighbor of some of you, in Raton!

OK, an update-- squashed some rifle primers in the case- better! So, got a Lyman primer uniforming tool, and deepened the pockets- just a few thou- and have loaded with mag rifle, yet to be tested. ...
Thanks, all. Eyeshot- barrel is very heavy, can't measure right now, but strength is not an issue. How bout HS7?? A listed load for lead shot is 1 1/2oz, 39 gr for 1260, and 10,800. Wonder if that...
I have had a 12 bore rifle built using a Martini GP action, and a Badger rifled barrel. Have some Magtech shells, and 700 gr. .735 boolets cast up, along with some 11 bore fiber wads. Now, 125 gr FFg...
What I have done is to have a die made that sizes the case for about 1/4" to center the boolet, and then give a bit of a roll crimp to hald all together.

Does anyone make a production type mould- as in under a hundred bucks- for the 50-110, 500 Express, etc? About 300 gr, and .512.
Thanks, Doug

Uh, maybe it's a non-issue, but I recall firm advise NOT to tumble loaded rounds! Something about a potential breakup of powder grains- higher pressures? Could be BS?

Yah, I think it's a cell phone thing. Email sent, and thanks for the response!
