I use red wax from cheese as a flux when casting. If I didn't use it as flux, it would be in the trash.

I have 2 x shellholders for 9mm. One is loose with the shell. It has caused some distortion of the rim when sizing. The second one fits perfect and has caused no problems.

I have one also and I use it decap 9mm brass and size my cast boolits. Proper adjustment and consistent speed is required. It can be fiddley.

I would use bore solvent and a bronze bore brush.
If that cleans it up, I would puts Flintz on a rag and give it a polish. This makes sizing a lot smoother.

I wouldn't put a PID that close to a lead melting pot. To much heat. Also you have to run the cooling fan forever after shutting down the pot.

A PID is better as a stand alone unit. I use mine...
