Yeah, I was gonna say, I gave my Pro Melt a good cleaning with bronze wool and all. Didn't really make any difference. That was years ago and haven't thought about it since. Like the guys said -...

Your ingots will fall right out of that baby. One little tap on the cement and they'll be gone.. I'd use them.

Well, I guess the first thing I would do is consult my powder burn rate chart and see where my preferred powder stacks up. Then try to find a substitute close to the preferred. When you find one,...

IF we are talking about the Lyman 452360, it does come flat base. I have one. Wonderful boolit..

My first advice to new casters - melters - would be to be patient and get yourself a couple of real ingot molds. RCBS, Lyman, Lee, they all sell them and they're not too expensive. Give yourself a...

I would go with Beagle on this one. Likes right to me. Mine mic right at .453 & change. Very good bullet.

I feel very fortunate. I have never paid for WW's. Going back 10 or 12 years ago, nobody cared and the zink were rare. I did have one tire shop nearby that was kind enough to give me his WW's for...
The older I get, the more I like & use aluminum. So glad I bought a six cav H&G 68 clone from MP years ago. That was quite a while
back. He might have made more since, I don't know....

I used kitty litter for about a year. I felt like I had dirty boolits constantly, so I switched back to just the wax. I'm much happier now. It's much easier to keep my melt clean..

So, not exactly in the reloading room, however, out back I poured up 19+ lbs of NOE 135 gr RNFP's. The calculator says it totaled 1,011 boolits. That ought to hold me for a little while !! Love...
I load 6.8 grains of Red Dot for my .41 mag. It is incredibly accurate, and of course, fun to shoot.

I might try shooting some jacketed bullets also, just to see the results. One never knows - until you try.... Mike

I have always considered Rem 700's (the real 700's - made about 20 years ago and older) the most accurate stock rifle one could buy. Mine always shot great. A shame what can be done to a good...

The "universal background checks" THEY refer to now, are MUCH more than background checks. I've been buying handguns since about 1973 and I've N E V E R purchased one without passing a background...

I remember dove hunting as one of the most relaxing, enjoyable hunts we can do. An old friend of mine, who is now gone, had a beautiful 28 ga Miroku Charles Daly O/U. He hit more than I did.

I have to wonder how these "people" get elected. What are folks thinking ?? Some of us are our own worst enemy.

I once ordered a number of items from Sinclair. Most, but not all, were shipped right away. While ordering, the nice man at Sinclair mentioned that the other items would ship later and that no...

I size .358 for my 38's and .357's and .411 for my 41 mag's. Works for me.

I only have 2 9mm's. A DW PM9 and a Beretta 92FS. They both get the .358 treatment. The PM9 leaded up on anything smaller. I think the Beretta was OK with .357 though.

Congrats, first. Second - can you fit all that terrific meat in one freezer ??? What's the approx poundage expected out of a mature bull ??
Forum: Cast Boolits
The only aluminum checks I have used are PB checks and they work great on 9mm. I should try some on the warmer .357's. I don't get lead, though, ever in the .357's. Guess that would be a waste of...
Congrats, pop. The 1911's in 9mm are really lots of fun. You'll enjoy that a lot.
