38-55 good all around load

My go to load for 38-55 is 265 gr bullet GC & 30 gr of 3031. Good accuracy

That is true about using jacketed bullets in 25-36. I loaded first with cast bullets very poor accuracy.. I went with jacketed noticeable difference.

the marlin 39a or mountie is by far the best 22 lever today

Marlin MR-7 in 270 NIB. very accurate

loaded a batch of 40-82 yesterday. today I have 40-65 & 38-40 to do.

you can also make make 40/65 brass from 45/70. I tried & made very little difference in my groups

another load i had good luck is 56 gr imr4955 & 130 gr bullet

my go to load is 48 gr 3031 & 130 gr bullet. very accurate

my load is 265gr bullet & 30 imr3031

when i make 38-56 brass i use r-p brass 45-70. i tried using winchester brass but even with annealing i still cracked necks. i do not anneal the r-p brass & had good luck with them.

once fired brass is misnomer.most of the time it is 3 or 4 or more fired

my case conversion was 38-56 from 45-70. first sized in a 40-65 then a 38-56 die & then you trim to 2.10
